In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him and without him nothing was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shined in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend.

At the age of four, I sat in the grass, leaning against a fence, behind our house on Emerson Lane. I was there alone, because loneliness gave space to think. I’d never had playmates or friends, except two dogs who had come and gone in succession.
My goal at that moment was finding a way to escape the world and find reality. But I discovered no mechanism of escape, which did not include pain and suffering.
By that age, I’d had enough of pain and suffering.
Besides, I’d been told I will see JESUS after this life and I sure didn’t want to detour from that great blessing.
But, someday, I will be here one second and will be gone the next.
JESUS, thank you for YOUR gift of life.
May you always be blessed.
